Alzheimer's and Dementia Management

Not knowing how to perform your usual routines or remembering what happened yesterday or recognizing your loved ones is a hard concept to imagine.   Our program focuses on support and educating caregivers with techniques to keep the patient as functional as possible at home.   This both enhances the quality of life for the patient and the family and reduces the incidence of unnecessary office visits and hospitalizations.

Anti-Coagulation Management

Are you taking Coumadin or Warfarin?   AmeriTex uses a portable monitor to assess patients who are on anticoagulation (blood thinning) medicine.   Using this portable monitor, your results will be available in seconds, which allows your physician to make treatment decisions fast, resulting in better therapeutic management and reducing office visits and hospitalizations.

Cardiac/Heart Disease Management

With heart disease being the #1 cause of death in the United States, our cardiac disease management program focuses on CHF (Congestive Heart Failure), Hypertension and Heart Disease.   Using a combination of disease management methods, such as, medication management, telemonitoring, weight control, diet and exercise and recognizing early cardiac warning signals thus reducing the need for emergent care and re-hospitalizations.

Diabetic Management

Diabetics have a better chance to stay healthy and feel their best if they are educated with knowing how to control their blood sugar (glucose). AmeriTex provides a comprehensive diabetic management program to help patients monitor and control their diabetes.   We know that everyone has different needs, therefore; we offer an individualized program that is customized to meet the unique needs of each of our patients. Patients and their families will learn self-management techniques to control diabetes and help reduce the acute and chronic complications that are associated with having diabetes.

Infusion Therapy

Patients are being discharged from the hospital needing IV infusions more often than ever before. Infusions can now be perfomed at home which allows more freedom for the patient and decreases hospital visits and cost.   AmeriTex Home Care's emphasis are placed on educating the patient and family member on infusion therapy management which will decrease anxiety and promote active participate with performing the infusions.

Orthopedic Management

Whether it's a broken hip, elective knee surgery, reduced muscle strength or difficulty walking, therapists evaluate and provide treatment to help patients increase mobility, strength, balance, coordination and self care. At AmeriTex, we provide rehabilitation treatment for hip and knee replacement, complex fractures, arthritis, back injuries and other various orthopedic problems with positive results.

Parkinson's Disease Management

Advances in medical intervention and rehabilitation techniques offer new hope for patients with Parkinson's Disease.   This program provides specialized rehabilitation care to help patients with Parkinson's and other movement disorders reach their highest possible level of function and independence.

Respiratory Management

People with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), Emphysema, Bronchitis and Asthma often have a hard time catching their breath, which is a major obstacle to living a quality life. These are all chronic conditions and tend to get worse over time.   There is no cure, but with our disease management program we can help overcome these limitations.   At AmeriTex, we understand that living a normal life can be a realistic goal.
